Albino Bone Rituals: Reveal thy horrors
27/09/11 || Smalley
First off, the production here is real shitty & muted, but it does suit the frantic, chaotic nature of Albino Bone Rituals’ songwriting (hahaha, what a band name; are they ritual-ing with Edgar Winter’s bones??). The riffing and soloing’s pretty catchy too, so that helps out, and though I usually dislike it when growlers in metal render the lyrics incomprehensible, again, that sort of garbled style only adds to the heaviness here, so it does work. The grindcore/death metal combo vibe I get here is cool as well, so I have to say “Reveal thy horrors” is one of the rare stubs actually worth checking out.
7,5: Bad-ass roughness.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
